Video Games: Binary Domain – The Machine Age Has Begun (Trailer)

Scheduled for release next year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, SEGA’s Binary Domain is billed as an “immersive and atmospheric squad-based shooter,” while the story of the game is set in a world where “the evolution of machines has left humanity redundant in its wake.”

“In the heat of battle,” reads a press release blurb, “players must motivate and build trust with their team, adapt under pressure and make real time decisions knowing there will always be consequences that affect the squad and future missions. Humans must regain control of 2080 Tokyo and give the machines an unexpected ending.”

Movie News – Cowboys and Aliens Trailer 2

The first trailer had my attention, but this second one makes me want to see it now. Cowboys and Aliens don’t seem to mix, but Jon Favreau is looking to prove us wrong. Most importantly, Olivia Wilde has no clothes at one point in the trailer and if that doesn’t motivate you, I don’t know what will. But this movie looks like it’s going to be something big so check it out and see for yourself. Peanut Butter and Jelly, now Cowboys and Aliens.

Movie News: Rise of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

The first trailer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes surfaced yesterday. When I first heard about the movie I wasn’t too hyped for it but from the trailer, it looks really good so far. The movie is going to be starring James Franco as the scientist (unnamed at the moment) who is running medical tests on apes, until his experiments cause biological changes in the apes and increasing their intelligence. The movie is a prequel to the 2001 film Planet of the Apes starring Mark Wahlberg. (Which also was a remake of the 1968 film of the same name.)

What catches my eye the most is who is doing the CGI. WETA Digital, the crew who did the CGI for Avatar is heading the project. Despite my opinion of Avatar as being too over hyped, the CGI was seriously unmatched. Hopefully they do something amazing with this movie because at the moment, they have my full attention.

The film will be released on August 5, 2011
