The Showtime show “Dexter” has now run for five seasons, and the character Dexter Morgan still hasn’t run out of serial killers to serial kill in the greater Miami area. Now Billboard reports that boho-rap god Mos Def will join the show’s constantly shifting cast in its sixth season.
According to Billboard, Mos will play “a hardened ex-con who claims to have found religion yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence,” and Dexter will show “who he really is.” Given the sort of show this is, Mos’ character isn’t all that likely to survive into season seven. Season six will also star Colin Hanks as a villain. Production begins in June, and the show could hit the air in fall.
