Unfortunately, the impressive retro poster seen below won’t be getting a wide release as part of the promotion for Captain America: The First Avenger. Instead, it’s a special limited run given to members of the film’s crew. If you’re attending the Hero Complex Film Festival in Hollywood this weekend, though, you may be lucky enough to win a copy.
Designed by comic artist Paola Rivera, the poster features the iconic “punching Hitler” cover that graced the original “Captain America Comics” #1, a scene rumored to be featured in some capacity in the final film.
Captain America: The First Avenger opens in 3D and 2D theaters on July 22. The Joe Johnston-directed action adventure stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Neal McDonough and Derek Luke.
The film opens July 8 in New York and Los Angeles, with showings throughout the summer. Full dates after the jump.

Movie theater companies have figured out that many of us don’t buy any snacks when we go to the movies — and that they’re losing a huge amount of money as a result. So, theaters from Florida to California are starting to offer options — more healthful, hotter and more substantial options — for dinner. “I recently had someone tell me whatever you do, never change the popcorn,” says George Patterson, the vice president for food and beverage at Kansas City, Mo.-based AMC Entertainment. “She said, ‘I grew up as a kid going to movies with my dad and it was always about, don’t change the popcorn.’ ”
This is a few days late, but it is dope looking nonetheless. This is the first glimpse of Tom Hardy playing Bane in Christopher Nolan’s last take on the Batman series, “The Dark Knight Rises”. Before the image had been released, an suspicious audio file was released on the official website for the movie which sounded like people chanting. After someone transfered the audio file to examine it, the audio waves spelled out this hashtag for twitter…
After enough people used the hashtag on twitter, a collage of those people’s twitter’s formed the image that is initially seen above.
I’m completely excited at what is to come from this viral campaign for this movie. I might even just keep myself from looking at anymore previews and what ever trailers come around this coming year and just watch the movie without knowing anything. Whatever comes out, this is a nice first step.

Pharrell is bringing his inventive expertise over to KarmaloopTV as the new creative director. The TV network, which will primarily focus on youth culture will launch sometime this year.
I felt it was only right to throw this up because we are partners with Karmaloop. Nothing but good stuff. Congrats P.
